Who We Are?

‘Bona Vacantia’ means vacant goods and is the name given to ownerless property, which by law passes to the Crown. The Treasury Solicitor acts for the Crown to administer the estates of people who die intestate (without a Will) and without known kin (entitled blood relatives) also the estate of people with a last will whom their benefitiaries are unaware of what has been pass down to them and collect the assets of dissolved companies and other various ownerless goods in England and Wales.

What We Do?

Every year thousands of persons die intestate (without a Will) in the United Kingdom, leaving behind an estate that has remained on claimed until today also individual with will whom the benefitiaries could not be located. Over 3 billion pounds worth of ownerless goods have been taken possession of by the British Treasury. Bona Vacantia Division (BVD) has for many years searched for the next of kin of the owner of these ownerless goods and given them the chance to claim their inheritance.
Many persons around the world are owed money by the British Treasury but are unaware of this; it is the duty of BVD to inform you about your inheritance and your right to make claims and to appoint a legal representative for the estate of the deceased person.
